We believe in it so much that we changed our business model over 25 years to participate only on projects that were collaborative in nature. Linbeck was a pioneer of the collaborative approach to designing and building projects. The firm was a founding member of the “Collaborative Process Institute” which started the industry’s movement away for the adversarial “design/bid/build” approach. Collaborative delivery methods such as Construction Management and Design/Build are second nature to us. In fact, our TeamBuild® approach is actually a more refined version of these methods—the next generation of collaboration.

At Linbeck, we know that collaboration pays off. Our TeamBuild® process has been independently verified by R.S. Means Company to lower costs by 5%-22% on complex projects versus other delivery methods. One recent example was the Texas Heart Institute, the recent winner of the AGC Build America Award—the most prestigious award in the construction industry. This facility, built in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, was delivered for almost $20/SF less than comparable projects in the vicinity.
