Baylor College of Medicine; Houston, Texas
Architect: FKP

This fast-track project converts portions of a two and four story structure from a manufacturing plant into a modern clinical research facility.

Our involvement in pre-construction focused on minimizing the construction schedule to quickly provide replacement facilities for researchers displaced by the Houston Flood of 2001. Challenges include an evolving program by the landlord and the coordination with their contractors and consultants, owner changes in response to landlord changes, and a variety of existing building conditions from previous additions.
