In the Spotlight: The Team Behind the National Medal of Honor Museum
Photo: Halkin Mason PhotographyLinbeck is proud to celebrate our trade partner Gate Precast on their feature in the Spring 2026 issue of Ascent magazine, published by the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute!
The feature spotlights the incredible precast work on the National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington, Texas, a landmark institution honoring more than 3,500 recipients of our nation’s highest military award. The project required an equally monumental design: a 200 x 200-foot exhibit hall hovering 40 feet above the ground, supported by five massive inverted precast concrete columns, each representing one of the five branches of the U.S. military.
Bringing this vision to life was a true team effort. Gate Precast fabricated the column elements, Wells served as the delegated design engineer for the precast system, and Bosworth Steel handled erection. Linbeck self-performed all field-cast foundations and ring bases for the columns. Together with design team Rafael Viñoly Architects and engineer Schlaich Bergermann Partner, this project stands as a testament to what’s possible when exceptional partners build toward a shared vision.
We’re proud of every team member who contributed their expertise to this one-of-a-kind tribute.
