Description
The 19-story Embassy Suites brings upscale hospitality to the heart of downtown Houston. Built on a half-acre site, the hotel includes 262 guest suites, 6,000 square feet of meeting space, a rooftop pool, a full-service restaurant, a street-level café and wine bar, and two levels of underground parking. A 120-car parking garage was also constructed to support guests and staff. The cast-in-place concrete structure features a modern EIFS and curtainwall exterior. Working within a fixed budget, Linbeck collaborated with the owner and design team to evaluate system options—successfully meeting the budget in under 30 days without compromising quality, function, or schedule. Embassy Suites earned LEED® Silver certification, becoming the first LEED-certified hotel in downtown Houston and the first LEED-certified Embassy Suites in Texas.
