Description
Linbeck completed a three-phased expansion to update and modernize the SPCA campus in Houston. As part of the 8-acre campus development, Linbeck added five new buildings to make room for a pet adoption center, Wildlife Center of Texas, dog park, horse arena/barn, bird building, dedication park, education facility for children and community groups, and dormitory for Texas A&M veterinarian residents. The facilities are pre-engineered structural framed buildings that include a masonry and cement board exterior and a standing seam metal roof. Large cupolas and dormers brighten the spaces by allowing natural light to filter in. In order to reduce noise and create a less stressful environment for the animals. Linbeck incorporated unique wall and floor finishes, ceiling heights, acoustic qualities, and materials.
