Overview

Linbeck served as the construction manager for the Moncrief Cancer Institute, an affiliate of the University of Texas Southwestern Simmons Cancer Center. As the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer research, prevention, treatment and wellness center in North Texas, this one-of-a-kind facility features a unique facade of terra-cotta, with patterns that symbolize the individual nature of each patient’s needs. The interior of the building, flooded with natural light due to floor-to-ceiling windows, includes counseling, genetic counseling, medical examination, and preventative screening services, as well as administrative offices, an expanded fitness center, demonstration kitchen, and 90-seat auditorium for research and public education. Outside, gardens and water fountains wrap around the building and do their part to foster a calming atmosphere.
