Overview
Linbeck continued our longstanding relationship with Carter BloodCare to complete their Laboratory Expansion and Clean Room Renovation. Carter BloodCare expanded its original 1988 facility to add more lab space and renovate several departments. Work included transforming the center’s existing drop-off area into an advanced laboratory space, as well as updating all finishes and MEPF systems. For the project, Linbeck also refreshed the Hematology, Flow, and BACT T labs, completed the addition of a new ISO7/USP Clean Room, installed a new two-stop TKE elevator, added a new walk-in freezer accessible from the warehouse, updated the blast freezers, and refreshed the MEP systems serving the freezers. Linbeck planned the 13-month project in six phases and across 13 separate areas. Because the project took place on an active campus, Linbeck implemented a strict QA/QC plan that allowed each department to continue its daily functions with minimal to no impact.
