Description
The Commons is a multi-use student center that offers a variety of dining options for students and collaborative workspaces and meeting rooms, utilized by student organizations, campus departments, and fraternity and sorority groups. Lounge areas and outdoor seating have been strategically placed to create a welcoming and centralized gathering point for student life activities on the west campus. The multi-functional building also serves as an event center for campus-wide functions. The building was designed and constructed to support sustainability and be appropriately sized to fit with the aesthetics of the surrounding campus. The centralized location of the building was selected due to its primary access to the new dormitory facilities currently being constructed and to act in conjunction with the Maverick Activities Center.
