Overview

Linbeck was selected to renovate Mood-Bridwell Hall to blend today’s need for state-of-the-art technology with the building’s rich history. Built in 1908, Mood-Bridwell Hall is the second oldest building on campus and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. There are currently nine departments housed in the facility, including the University Computer Center, the Office of Intercultural Learning, and the Debby Ellis Writing Center. The extensive renovations of Mood-Bridwell will include performance and gathering areas, new classrooms, and a coffee shop. In addition, the project includes improvements to the historic upper terrace for public events, a new atrium, and the addition of a third floor. New windows and glazing systems, as well as roof repairs, are among the most critical exterior repairs.
