Description
In order to accommodate their growing baseball program, ACU developed a four-phased project plan at Crutcher Scott Field that entailed the renovation and expansion of their existing stadium. Phase I of the renovation required demolishing the existing first baseline seating to make way for the new structure composed of steel and precast concrete on a new drilled pier foundation system. Construction added a new home locker room, team meeting room with theater-style seating, training rooms, offices, restrooms, and showers—all below the new 466-seat first baseline seating and sun-shade canopy. Landscape and hardscape scopes were also included.
Phase II began mid-construction and added a press box, concessions area, public restrooms, 493-seat homeplate grandstand seating bowl, and visitor seating loge. The new stadium now contains capacity for 1,566, along with new amenities and comfortable seating to enhance the gameday experience for players and patrons.
